2024 - Year of the Crypto Bull?

The Bitcoin halving event is set for this year - April 22, 2024. Block rewards are cut in half to 3.125. At the time of this writing, Jan. 1, 2024, BTC is being traded for $42,656. The question is whether the halving has already been built in to the present-day price, or if we will see a doubling in price coming up ahead.

On top of the Bitcoin halving event, we in Chia land will be having (pun!) our halving first, around March 8, 2024.

On top of this significant supply squeeze for both BTC and XCH, we also may be seeing an inflow of capital into BTC due to the possible Spot BTC ETF approval. And according to basic supply & demand theory, this could make the price of BTC soar in 2024.

I am personally hoping that we will see an even bigger run-up than we saw during the 2021 ATH for BTC; the rise of BTC usually brings all the other alt-coins up with it. This year we are seeing a lot of new exciting projects as well, such as AVAX and Solana, which have improved significantly since 2021.

Finally, last but not least, the possibility of a Chia Network Inc IPO in 2024 could bring the awareness and attention to the Chia Blockchain (PoST) that it deserves.
